WTF is PPHH you ask? The famous Pedals vs Pistons vs Horseshoes vs Hoofers (I mean Hiking Boots) trail day. Saturday Sept 16th. We lost the trophy last year with a rather paltry showing of man/woman power so we are calling on everyone to come up and make a show of force to bring the trophy back to CTR!

Want to get out of the heat and into the forest? Come join us at the June Kelly Canyon trail day this saturday starting at 8:30. Bring your hot weather survival kit (sunscreen, water, snax) and enthusiasm, we provide the rest including tools,PPE, lunch and cold beverages. Don’t forget, all attendees get a $10.00 Rocky Mountain ATV gift card. A few trail days and a few meetings and you’ve got a new tire (or whatever else the bike needs).
The plan is to meet the Trail Crew south of Mountainaire . We will be working on the same trail we were working on last year. The meeting spot is in the same place; head south on FR 700 out of Mountainaire, go left on 235k, then left on 235j. There will be signs and flagging to help guide you in.
The maps are out, GPS routes are being scrutinized, menus are being finalized, raffles are piling up. We’re ready – ARE YOU?
July 15-16. Come join in the fun. It’s not a race but it is certainly an adventure!
Sorry for earlier confusion over the 13th. When in doubt show up at the American Legion on the 3rd Tuesday of the month unless elpresidente says otherwise.
Yup – it’s time to head back to the Kelly to build more glorious single track. New this year – Sean promises less rocks and more pin flags.
Please join us starting at 6:00 pm at the American Legion off of Humphries St. The meeting will be short and to the point with time afterwards to talk about the issues you are most interested in (including all the cool stuff you saw at the Overland Expo and the first trail day of the season!)
See you there!
Mark your calendar, get the weekend off, make sure the knobbies are in good shape and head on up to the pines for 2 days of National AMA Dual Sport greatness. July 15 & 16. A, B, & C routes (C is definitely big bike friendly). We promise great routes, good food, and fun times. Sign up for the weekend or just one day – we’ve got you covered.
July will be here before you know it so sign up now:
We are trying a new streamlined agenda to get through the main news items and then let folks get together into small groups to discuss issues near and dear to their hearts (racing, dual sport, 2 stroke versus 4 stroke, boxers or briefs…). So, if you haven’t been to a meeting in a while because you found it to be tedious and long winded, please show up on Tuesday and help us refine this concept so we can keep everyone engaged.
And, please, mark your calendars for the trail days this year. We put some very aggressive volunteer match hours into the grants this year and need lots of hands at all the trail days you can make. Thanks!
