CTR members in the news

Well, our members may not make it to the pages of Dirt Rider or MX Action. But,  Frank (love him or hate him, the guy who laid out the A & B loops for the Flagstaff Mountain Madness Dual Sport) just headed up the project to re-coat the 14 foot mirror at the Discovery Channel telescope. With that kind of eye to detail, no wonder the GPS tracks were so good! And you thought your job was out of this world?!

We have a very important mission tonight, to finish off the beer left over from the Dual Sport event. 6:00 pm at the State Bar on Rte 66 in downtown Flag. Be thirsty and bring a growler. Oh, and we’ll discuss club business too……

Thanks to everyone for another successful Mountain Madness Dual Sport

And you think YOU’RE tough? CTR ladies get Gold and Silver at the ISDE qualifier

Jilene Oakley and Chandra Jade scored silver and gold respectively at the Idaho City ISDE qualifier on June 4th and 5th. With temps up in the 90s and a super tough dusty course, these women kicked some Idaho silt! Go Jilene and Chan! (they cleaned up for the picture)

1 month countdown to the 2016 Mountain Madness Dual Sport

C’mon – you know you want to come to Flagstaff and ride! Here’s the scoop:

  • The A/B routes are fun and challenging. The C route is incredibly scenic and big-bike friendly with just enough challenge to keep it interesting.
  • Wils Grill BBQ is catering breakfast and dinner.
  • The raffle is bigger and better than ever!
  • Camping is still available in the overflow camping area at Fort Tuthill reserved specifically by CTR
  • And – last but not least – Flagstaff’s average temperature in July is in the mid 80s. Add a little monsoon rain beforehand and we are talking perfect riding weather on hero dirt!

See you there!

Thinking of camping at the 2016 Mountain Madness Dual Sport?

i May 10th No Comments by

Fort Tuthill county park has both tent and RV camping. Camping reservations are going fast, you can check out the availability at

The club has also reserved the overflow camping area. This is a no-frills set-up – no fire rings or picnic tables but still close enough to the bathrooms and event site. It can accommodate tents, campers, and RVs. Email if you want to camp but there are no sites left.

Some CTR members have all the fun!
