Trail day this coming Saturday July 22

We will be picking up where we left off last time and will be here until this trail connects!  This is the ‘seminary’ trail and is the southern ‘spur’ that currently connects to the main loop of the Kelly system.
As always, CTR will provide lunch and cold beverages.  Please wear appropriate clothes, bring water bottles, and don’t forget your rain gear! (though if it’s thundering, we’ll call it a day)
From Matt, our new trails coordinator for the summer:
Iam looking forward to our event this Saturday.  The plan is to meet at 08:30 at the location described below and continue working on the seminary trail.  The meeting spot is south of Mountainaire on Forest Road 235a.  We will be accessing the 235a through Mountainaire, which is a little confusing.  The written directions are as follows:
Exit Kachina/Mountainaire off of I17 and head East on Mountainaire Dr
After the tavern go left on Osage
Right on Shoshone
Left on Pawnee
Left on Bannock
Right on Kiowa
Right on Huron
Left on Cado
Right on Twilight
Cruise down Twilight to the South and you will hit the Forest Boundary.
Enter the Forest and veer Left on the 235a.
Stay on the 235a and you will run right into the parking area which will be flagged with orange streamers.
For all of the folks that have google earth on their phones I have included a “pin” they can open up to help them navigate.  Its actually easier than it sounds, you just got to get to Twillight to access the National Forest.  The Forest access point is near the address 4407 Twilight if you want to google it.  If anyone gets lost please call my cell 928 607 4335 and I will help guide them in.
